Chapli Height Hits Nepal – Movie Review

With a lot of controversies and publicity from sexually aggressive posters and promos, Chapali Height is released all over major theaters in Nepal. The third directorial venture of Dipendra K Khanal and second movie produced by Arjun Kumar, Chapali Height, has a story of sex for adult audience. Hence, it has received an Adult certificate from the censor board of Nepal.

Whats Inside Chapli Height Movie?

Chapali Height is based on a plot where a couple(Bini and Amir) flees from Pokhara to stay at Amir’s friend (Raj)’s home situated at Chapali (a village in north side of Kathmandu) and confusing sexual chemistry rolls in, which leads to a thrilling turn. Besides that no more thing to tell, otherwise the full story will be out. Movie is a mix of physical and little less adventurous ride that misses to mingle along, but the movie has something in entertaining people (not me though). This could only be done when the Director/Producers think and put sequences with the viewers on their mind. Erotic scenes, Beep words, thrilling sequences, and some funny dialogues…all are there to amuse/arouse you.

The director, Khanal, told that the movie has got a new kind of story for Nepali film industry. He considers the story an experiment in itself and is a light thriller. The story of the movie is woven in a single location and it revolves around the only three characters featured in the movie. He adds, the movie doesn’t have any commercial and masala type of items and is made on a simple story of three youths, showing how they brought problems in their life.

According to the director, movie’s main content is sex and that was the reason it gained a wide media coverage. Although the movie’s story is based on sex, the director told that it doesn’t contain vulgarly.
